Self Defence classes for Boarding students at School
Boarding students learn self defence at Essex school
As the Director of Boarding at an independent school, I felt it was important to offer self-defence classes to our boarding students. Richard was very enthusiastic, flexible and willing to accommodate our varying needs within the whole school boarding community. The sessions were engaging with a variety of activities. Richard managed to cover a lot of information into his sessions and they were a good mix of theoretical and practical. One of the girls commented that ….
“Self defence made me feel empowered and self-assured that in a compromising situation I would be able to defend myself”
The students overwhelmingly found the sessions useful as well as really fun and I would highly recommend Richard and his training.

What’s SDF Essex Self Defence Training about?
SDF Essex, Self defence training is looking to work with more schools, colleges and universities across London, Essex, Kent, Herts and Suffolk to deliver either one-off sessions or a programme of group training sessions for their pupils, students and tutors. Sessions can run during the day to supplement the curriculum or as an after school / college / university activity. The sessions can be tailored to meet most needs, dependent on venue. Training can be held both inside and outdoors on grass.
Self Defence Next moves
SDF Essex would appreciate the opportunity to meet and discuss the possibility of running tailored self defence personal safety sessions, based on any organisation’s requirements for students and / or staff.
